Quote Manager in Dynamics 365

Simplify your quoting process

This grid layout feature makes it simple to customize your quotes with drag-and-drop functionality, add sections, and manage pricing visibility, ensuring your quotes look polished and meet your exact requirements.
Let’s explore how the grid layout feature can enhance your quoting experience in Dynamics!

1. Drag and Drop for Easy Reordering

One of the most user-friendly features of the grid layout is the ability to drag and drop items to arrange them in the correct order.
This feature allows you to easily modify your quote layout without having to manually re-type the entire content.
Whether you’re reordering line items or moving sections, drag-and-drop functionality ensures a simple and intuitive experience.
With just a few clicks, you can quickly adjust the structure of your quote, making the editing process faster and more efficient.

2. Adding Sections and Subtotals

You can add sections to your quote, creating a more organized and detailed layout. This is especially useful when dealing with complex quotes that require multiple parts, such as Consultancy (services), Licences (Product) , and optional items (Up-sell / Cross-sell).
Along with sections, you can also add subtotals for specific sections, allowing clients to see a breakdown of costs for each part of the proposal.

3. Inserting Pictures and URLs

Including visual elements in your quote is made easy with the ability to add pictures and URLs feature.
Images can help enhance the appearance of your quote and provide clarity on the products or services being offered.
Similarly, adding URLs feature allows you to link directly to product pages or additional resources, enabling your clients to quickly access detailed product specifications.
This combination of images and links not only enriches your quotes but also makes them more informative and engaging for your clients, giving them a complete picture of what you’re offering.

4. Page Breaks for Enhanced Formatting

For larger quotes that span multiple pages, you can easily insert page breaks to ensure your content is divided appropriately.
This feature helps maintain a professional and readable structure, ensuring that important sections don’t spill across pages and disrupt the flow of the document.

5. Right-Click Line Options

The right-click menu provides several additional options for customizing line items in the quote. Here, you can:

• Hide Prices:

This feature is particularly useful when you’re presenting a bundled solution but don’t want to show individual prices, preventing your clients from picking the offer apart.
Simply untick “Show Price,” and a yellow eye icon will appear, indicating the price is hidden.
While the individual prices are concealed in the PDF, the amount of the hidden prices can still be chosen to include in the subtotals / totals.
In this way, your clients can focus on the overall value of your solution rather than on individual pricing details.

• Exclude Prices and Costs from Totals:

If you’re presenting optional items for up-selling or cross-selling products, you probably don’t want to include these items to the overall price.
To exclude the items from the quote totals, simply right-click the line item, select Line Options, and click Exclude from Totals.

A black box with a cross icon will appear, indicating that the item’s price is excluded from the total below and from the final PDF.

This is perfect for showing optional items without affecting the overall cost.
