This time, we will show you how to merge variable document elements into your quotes. Examples of these elements include: Executive Summary, Statements of Work, Terms and Conditions, Product Specifications, Service Level Agreements etc.
We also have a “Proposal Text” feature where you can store pre-created templates of text snippets that sales can re-use. This saves time and ensure consistency and accuracy when building your quotes.
Steps to Merge Document Text
On a Quote Header record, there is a tab specifically for standard document text. This time, we will be using Statement of Work for demonstration.
We can type directly into the text editor
Or select from a pre-created template
Then, preview the thumbnail of selected template.
After inserting pre-created template into the text editor, you can modify the inserted template to tailor it to your specific needs.
This can include: adjusting the content, editing the style, or adding additional information.
Enhance your document by adding images.
You can either upload the image.
OR, copy the image link address, paste it into the editor, and adjust the format and size as you see fit.
Combine Multiple Templates:
You can build a comprehensive document by merging multiple sets of templates.
Go to the bottom edit the latest inserted templates. For example, remove the new inserted text.
You can click on CRM Docs button on the top ribborn to preview your document
To ensure if all elements are placed and formatted in a way that you expected.
